At last, a mobile content provider that understands that the medium is the message
GoTV, a 46 person firm based in Hollywood, distributes movie reviews, sports scores and headline news in bite sized portions for mobile phones. Rather than stream live TV to the devices, GoTV tailors material to fit the screens and attention spans of a mobile audience. Among the creations of its Emmy-award winning producers are hip hop channel PurePhat, SportsTracker, a source for real-time scores; and, due in July, BoostTV, an MTV-esque video programme for teens. Uniquely, the images on the screen will not be the same as those on primetime. Says CEO David Bluhm, “Remember: content changed from radio to TV”
