PostSecret is an ongoing community art project where people mail-in their secrets anonymously on one side of a homemade postcard.

Some of them - like the ones pictured - are pretty heartbreaking. See also previous posts, the Pledge Site and the Apology Line.

Since this item was posted, The Observer has picked up on the story and now even features a weekly submission from Postsecret in its magazine.

An agnostic reponse to the need to apologise: in 1980 a New Yorker named Allan Bridge set up a telephone line that he called “The Apology Line”"
