Nice carrier-bag-as-media-space idea from TopShop promoting the Anna Piaggi exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum.

Bag.jpgHow best to publicise fashion maverick Anna Piaggi’s show at the V&A in London? Bag the capital’s most famous youth fashion brand as a sponsor. Simple. There’s even an endorsement from Piaggi herself emblazoned on the bag:

Today I feel that enthusiasm and passion for fashion are still well alive in England and I am happy to see that Topshop is the new catalyst for inventive and stylish dresses.

You currently can’t move on Oxford Street for one of these bags brushing past you on the arm of some 16 year old girl — not your typical habituee of the Victoria and Albert Museum. An added incentive is provided in the form of a 25% off tag for the exhibition on the best selling pieces in store. Clever.

Expect the Anna Piaggi exhibition to be mobbed by ‘fashion forward’ teenagers this weekend.

With thanks to SophieW for the tip.
